Bruising - Thin Skinned
A female has developed thin skin and bruising arms very easily. She has taken Vitamin C for about a year and has not helped. She has recently discontinued Vitamin C because of the loose bowel movements which are improving. She is taking Garlic, prescription hormone replacement and multiple vitamin. Topically comfrey cream. Her skin has never tanned and has stayed out of the sun for years. She currently wears long sleeves due to the embarrassment of dark blue bruises on skin from just bumping into something. She cannot put on a band aid because the skin will tear. Any herbal suggestions, blood purifiers, such as Burdock only cause the skin to turn red on face and itch. For years she drank Alka Seltzer cold plus for allergies but has not done this for a few years. She takes CC-A or ALJ when needed. I feel she needs to build the collagen. Suggestions appreciated -Marty Kliesh

I've found skin bruising to be a Vitamin A deficiency. That vitamin is made in a healthy liver. She needs bioflavonoids to strengthen tissue. It will not loosen the stools. Also Beta Carotene. Check that liver. She may need Milk Thistle or Chinese Liver Balance. Gotu Kola or Horsetail are great for strengthening collagen.

Very simply, Distress Remedy Homeopathic. Healing A/C Cream is good to apply. But first aid of direct pressure on the bruise for 3-5+ minutes often stops any bruising from happening. Apply serious pressure immediately and hold. Ice if needed after that. take the distress remedy as soon as your hand are free or when someone else can give it too you. Follow label directions. If you bruise easily, you need more V-C in your diet-with bioflavonoids ( Time release 1000mg) -Nora |
