Hi Howard!
In the book "Miracle Cures, by Jean Carper, it recommends 200-300 mgs. of Co Enzyme Q 10 daily.
Capsicum might also be helpful; start out with 1/4 capsules and build up to it. Dick Quinn swore capsicum saved his life in the book "Left For Dead" after bypass surgery left him for dead. -Nancy The Herb Lady

Q: After three years of battling a mis-diagnosis of asthma and not listening to her daughter, my mother age 73, has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure. I have felt all along it had more to do with the adrenals and kidneys than the lungs. Am I off base here? What would anyone recommend to help? Thanks. -Nora

The adrenals are the back up system for the heart so it's a good idea to keep them in good shape. Licorice Root helps feed the adrenals. It may increase blood pressure, so don't use if HPB. For CHF 200-300 mg daily of Co-Q-10 is extremely helpful according to the book "Miracle Cures" by Jean Carper. -Nancy The Herb Lady

Q: My question is: I have a client in the hospital with CHF and I'm planning on giving him Hawthorn, COQ10, and Noni. Thanks! -Paula

My Dad had congestive heart failure. I gave him COQ100 at the rate of 3 per day according to the book Miracle Cures, also Vitamin E, Hawthorn Extract, along with other things, but his heart did fine with that program. -Diane Toombs

Per Recipes for Success which I use on a daily basis says CoQ-10 at least 300mg per day, L-Carnitine, Magnesium, Hawthorn (Capsules or Liquid) or HS II [helps with coughing], Combination Four to dry up the excess fluid in the lungs, and Diuretics to pull fluid from the body. -Ray Kazmierski |
