Candida - Spit Test

A way to determine Candida yeast overgrowth is using the Candida Spit Test. This is not 100% accurate but can give something to go on if no other testing is possible.

Spit contents of mouth into a glass of water immediately upon waking in the morning. Do this before drinking or eating anything.

Wait approx. 20 minutes and check glass of water.
If it appears the spit strings down into the water, this can indicate Candida overgrowth. If it's bubbly at the top or disperses, mostly likely no overgrowth. -Chottsie
