Cancer - Chemo Therapy

I have a client that has cancer and has already gone through three treatments of chemo and has two to go. After that she will have radiation treatment. I would like to know what is a good regimen for her while going through chemo and radiation treatment to counteract the effects. Also after all that, what would be best to cleanse her body, strengthen it and to rebuild and/or repair it. Please answer ASAP! -Tanya Leon

Ginger tea is good for the nausea. I believe White Oak Bark is good for the pain from chemo. Is she anemic? A good body/blood-builder would be a combination of Green Zone and Liquid Chlorophyll - three 8 oz glasses per day. Green foods have a wonderful ability to both cleanse and strengthen the body. They also provide a dizzying array of nutrients, which she will definitely need to rebuild her strength. The treatments will be very drying to her bones and tissues; warming herbs like ginger, cinnamon, clove, fennel will increase circulation and warm her up. If she is feeling hot and dry, then cooling and moistening with herbs like marshmallow or aloe vera would be good. Green foods are a good bet all around. -Redhawk

Q: A friend of mine just had a double mastectomy. She will start chemo and radiation therapy in two weeks. What herbs can she take during this time to minimize the effects of those treatments? -Shawn

I believe White Oak Bark is good..also, ginger is great for the nausea. Has she considered Green Zone? A nutrient-dense food, she could take that 2-3x day; it would help with the anemia. Maybe mix it with Liquid Chlorophyll to make it more palatable. -Redhawk

Astragalus will boost the immune system without interfering with the chemo. -Stephanie
