DEFINITELY get a second opinion!! My daughter had a change around the nipple -- her doctor had her get a mammogram and ultrasound -- it was negative. So, she just watched it. In 6 months there was BIG changes -- this time something showed on the mammogram. She sent her to a surgeon who was going to do a mastectomy the next day. I talked her into going for a 2nd opinion -- it was Inflammatory Breast Cancer, which does NOT show on a mammogram or ultrasound until it's advanced. It only shows up on a blood test called a cancer marker test. IF she had surgery at that point, it could have killed her.
THAT type of breast cancer starts out with NO LUMPS in the breast, only visual changes around the nipple. Below is a research website for IBC.
Maybe that isn't your problem -- but I wouldn't wait to find out. It's RARE, fast growing and hits at a younger age than regular breast cancer. BTW, my daughter had a trauma to that breast a couple months prior to when she noticed the first changes. I put her on the Paw Paw Program and her markers have dropped dramatically. She IS receiving conventional treatment also.
