From the Treasure Chest: Bifidophilus - Flora Force "Double the value for only 7% more." "Contains the same bacteria as regular Flora Force (2.5 billion lactobacillus acidophilus) plus 1 billion bifidobacterium (especially friendly to the human body) per capsule. Fructooligosaccharide and carrot powder are added to help get the bacteria off to a good start. This is a milk-free product which is important to some vegetarians and those who are lactose intolerant." Some say it's better for those who were breast-fed. Others may want to comment on this. -Nancy, N.D

NSP's Bifidophilus contains both acidophilus (which flourish primarily in the small intestine) and bifidobacteria (which inhabit primarily the large intestine).

Bifidobacteria inhibit the growth of toxic bacteria such as Candida albicans (yeast), neutralize harmful substances, and help enhance intestinal function and prevent constipation and diarrhea.

Acidophilus produce enzymes, certain vitamins and acidophilin, a natural antibiotic substance. Acidophilus also inhibit the overgrowth of harmful intestinal microorganisms, enhance bowel elimination and aid digestion, to name just a few of their many functions. Hope this helps! -Laura Clement, Author, HART Toolkit for NSP Products

My upline has told her clients for years to take Bifidophilus on an empty stomach. How important is that to do? The bottle says with meals. -Rhea Kimmons

Take on empty stomach - too much food leaves it sitting in the stomach too long and it loses its effectiveness. -M. Zavitz
