Spleen Ruptured
Dear herb specialists: My 9 yr. old son almost lost his life and his spleen due to a sledding accident 1 week ago. Thanks be to God, he and I are now at home. I enforced the saving of his spleen during our hospital stay. (Thanks to the CNHP courses I understood the value of the spleen) It was a level 4 rupture. He is indeed a miracle! Now: I have drawn a blank. (due to the stress) please help me with the herbs I need to order for him. I do not see "spleen" in my recipes for success card file. I cannot seem to think clearly except for immune system herbs. He is 9. Please suggest. I hope someone will get back to me soon. I'd like to place an order this evening if possible. -Brenda

Barley Juice Powder contains barley juice and brown rice powders, both of which help strengthen the spleen.
Dandelion is beneficial for spleen ailments.
Chinese herbalists use Dong Quai to nourish the spleen and remove stagnation.
Parsley is also used for spleen ailments.
Since I haven't worked with anyone with this type of problem, this is the best information I can offer.
However, I found a very informative nursing information page on spleen injuries, saving the spleen, and monitoring the patient afterwards:
