Sclerosis of Liver
I have a client how has 10% left of liver function due to bad colon and toxins being reabsorbed into the liver causing sclerosis. His doctor told him to go home and get his affairs in order, that he had less than 2 years to live. He is still here 2 years later still drug free, but isn't having any luck with herbs that rebuild the liver. He says dandelion and slippery elm are too strong and makes him bedridden. I suggested dandelion tea drank during the day. He juices, and eats tons of carrots, beets, no meat or dairy, high carbs. He is trying to rebuild his liver. Anyone have any suggestions? -Leila North

Milk Thistle is THE herb for rebuilding the liver. Has he tried that? -Nancy

He has tried many herbs but finds them too strong, which puts him in bed for a week. -Leila North

I understand, but did he try Milk Thistle, in particular Nature's Sunshine's Milk Thistle? All products are not created equal, and in his condition, he wants to make sure he's taking high quality pure products, not some of the junk out there. I would start him on just 1/2 tablet at first, until he can stand more. -Nancy |
