Pleurisy - MSM
My mom has a bad case of pleurisy and is in a lot of pain. Seems she has had a weak respiratory system with bronchitis and such. Also I have heard MSM can help with this. I would appreciate any knowledge on this product and pleurisy. -Laurie

I have a little bit of info on the MSM for you:
MSM methylsulfonylmethane is a naturally occurring organic form of dietary sulfur the body uses fulfur in many processes including collagen synthesis, cell oxygenation, carbohydrate, metabolism and the maintenance of balance between acidity and alkalinity. These processes consume sulfur which must be replenished. MSM is found in fresh fruits, vegetables, meat fish and dairy products. but it is easily destroyed by processing and cooking. Most people do not get enough MSM in their daily diets. MSM does help allergies and asthma. MSM has been effective for the relief of stomach pain, indigestion and bloating. It can normalize bowel functions. MSM is also an anti inflammatory and an analgesic and may relieve the pain and stiffness of various forms of arthritis and tendinitis. As for the pleurisy, I would begin with watching the diet. No dairy products, limit if not eliminate white flour products, refined sugars, etc. Any respiratory weakness is a sure sign the body needs to be detoxed. Begin with a lower bowel cleanse using LBS-II or All Cell Detox and something for respiratory cleansing and support such as CC-A with Yerba Santa or Fenugreek & Thyme, Mullein, Lobelia. Can also try overall cleansing programs such as Clean Start then Ultimate Build or Tiao He Cleanse. Hope this info will help get you started. -Stacey Brown |
