Over Growth of Friendly Flora
A lady in her 50's had gastric by pass. (Long Limb Roen-y.) The 60% of the small intestine that is detached below the Duodenum, which has the live, Pancreas, and gallbladder dump in it and is reconnected to a lower common channel. has to much bacterial overgrowth in it. She is on An antibiotic and anti malaria drug. she said it is helping. She would like to get off of this, But also prevent it from happening again. Also she need Vitamin D. She can not absorb fats. -Betsy

I would suspect that it not her 'friendly flora' that is overgrown, but the bacteria that is not so friendly. When you take drugs as she is taking, when you stop -- the 'bad' bacteria take over shortly after stopping the antibiotic. My opinion is that she NEEDS probiotics in a BIG way.
See the listing on the Nature's Sunshine Product list. Look under Vitamins/Minerals/Phytonutrients and then under the subcatagory of Probiotics. You can also look under products in the link below or the NSP website.
We have Vitamin A & D together. Vitamin D, by itself is available from sunshine. I would suggest that she take it with Hi-Lipase, Stock #1528-4, which will help her break down and digest fats. I NEVER take any fat soluble supplement without it. |
