Nature's Three Recipes
Does anyone know of a resource that would provide me with baking recipes using NSP fiber supplements such as Nature's Three. I absolutely can not choke down the stuff and am not big on shakes. I have put it in oatmeal and applesauce and have experimented with low sugar, high fiber breads with a good quantity of Nature's Three in them. I was hoping to find some tried and true recipes so I wouldn't have to experiment with the product since it is does get costly. -Mandy Parker

Another alternative might be for you to take the Psyllium Hulls Capsules. I would start with one and build up to 6 - 10, twice daily.
I had my daughter gell up the Psyllium Hulls Combo and put it (as you said also) in applesauce and oatmeal for my grandchildren. It works just fine that way. BUT, be sure to drink a full glass of water with it.
Sometimes you just have to grin and bear it. . . . It does such wonderful things for you. Personally, I like it best mixed with 1/2 juice and 1/2 water. Some people I know prefer to make it thick, drink it fast and chase it with a glass of water. I can't handle that. If you start out with 1/4 tsp or less in a glass of 1/2 and 1/2, juice & water -- you can't even taste it -- That's how I demonstrate it to customers. Have gotten many people taking it by starting them that way. Then gradually, increase the amount of psyllium till you are taking 1 tsp - 1 tbsp. -Georgiana |
