Milk Replacement

What is suggested for a child getting off of formula instead of drinking milk. Is tofu moo what this mom should use or what would you recommend. -Dorie

Goat's milk is the closest to mother's milk and better for baby then cow's milk. Babies need the fat in milk for the first couple of years. That's why rice milk isn't recommended. You may be able to blend the tofo moo with goat's milk. -Nancy

If the child is less than year old combine formula with goat's milk, carrot juice combination or soy or rice milk. Eventually weaning off formula if child is over a year old. Does not need cow's milk, soy or rice milk is a better substitute since cow's milk causes mucous in the body. -Lori
