Milk - Evils of
Wanted to share this with you from Dr. Reuben T. De Haan's Total Body
Analysis. Not sure it will cut the mustard with your customer, but thought it might help.
Milk changes PH to alkaline so calcium absorption is blocked. These
undigested proteins turn to uric acid, or become foreign-looking particles. These foreign objects are called allergens.
Milk has become a product you can hardly escape. Besides the milk you drink, it is in the ice cream, cheese, and widely used in the candy
industry, baking industry, as well as the sauces of canned and frozen vegetables. We hear that milk is the perfect food, and so it might be!
Research has proven that one quart of milk will provide all the fat, calcium, phosphorus and riboflavin; one-half the protein, one-third the Vitamin A, ascorbic acid and thiamin; one-quarter the calories, and with the exception of iron, copper, magnesium and manganese, all the minerals needed daily. How impressive! This really is the perfect food ... if you are a newly-born calf, wanting to grow horns and a tough hide. We have all heard that appearances can be deceiving...... take the hint.
I ask you to consider the great milk deception for a moment. We are the only mammals on earth that drink another species' milk. Have you ever seen a cat drinking dog milk? Or a moose drinking bear milk? NO! It just doesn't happen. Some animals do drink milk if you give it to them in the civilized world, but they cannot get it in the wild. The question is, "How was it intended to be?" For the answer to this, just look at the wild animals. They do not drink another species' milk, and they never drink milk past the infant stage. If you stop and ponder these facts, it is actually a very "gross" principal we the human have developed. Would you drink rat milk? Why then do you drink cows' milk? Whoever invented the ingestion of cows' milk was a really sick person. Can you imagine how his peers must have reacted when the idea was introduced? Mothers quit making milk for a reason. The body cannot handle it anymore. Do you think God made a mistake, so that you must go get milk from another mammal to be healthy?
Oh yes, it is so good for you, it develops bones and makes them strong, it gives you healthy skin, etc., etc. Unfortunately, here is what you don't hear. Milk is so perfectly balanced, bacteria thrive on it. Anything that can duplicate and create bacteria is out of balance. That concept makes me wonder. Bacteria cannot live in a healthy environment, so milk must have something wrong with it. How does rotten milk smell? Have you ever considered that cows have four stomachs for a reason? It takes all four of these to break cows' milk down! Cows' milk is for cows alone!
Each mammal was specifically designed to produce the milk best suited for its own kind. When a cow has a baby, it has a calf, not a horse or a rooster. God ordered all life forms to reproduce after their own kind. Milk, a part of the reproduction process, is for its own kind as well. Every species needs different nutrients, different balance ratios, and its mother was made to supply the needed milk. There is a definite reason for these differences. Milk is created to feed or create similar flesh and blood. The old saying, "You are what you eat," is true in this case.
Calves reach full maturity in one or two years and weigh in at 1,000-2,000 pounds. Humans take 21 years to reach 150-200 pounds! Some still don't reach that poundage.
If you aren't buying this argument, allow me to throw in a little scientific proof. Everyone always wants scientific proof for everything, but they don't stop to consider the fact that most orthodox science changes as often as the wind. The concept that "milk does a body good" is true because the Dairy Association says so. The negative effects of milk are a non-changing fact.
We discussed that animals don't drink milk past infancy, and here is why:
1. The mother dries up, or kicks the baby away (a naturally occurring process, perhaps one we should take a hint from).
2. Their bodies stop producing lactase beyond the baby years. Our human body is no different. Between 1.5 and 4 years of age, our bodies no longer produce lactase, the enzyme required to break lactose down. Lactose is one of the two sugars in milk. When there is no enzyme to break down this sugar, it goes to the large intestine where inhibiting bacteria ferment the lactose, causing gas and lactic acid, a poison. This, in turn, draws water to the area through the process of osmosis, and you may get water retention, bloating, heavy gas, diarrhea, and many of the symptoms we will mention later on. Dr. Joyce Gryboski, director of pediatrics at University of Yale, School of Medicine, says that at least one child per week is brought in with symptoms that are nothing more than milk allergies.
Protein is perhaps the biggest attraction to the use of milk. Strong,
healthy bones, muscles, skin,....yeah, right! The milk producers are good salesmen, and the concept is so ingrained in people's minds, they never think twice about any contrary opinion. The fact is, milk protein does not digest. It really isn't assimilable by our bodies. The protein globules are too large for our livers to process. It is not designed to go into our bodies. We only have on stomach, remember? Dr. Schroder found that skim milk has lost virtually all the chromium and manganese, both of which are needed to metabolize its two main ingredients; protein and sugar.
Dr. Frank A. Oski, MD, states that streptococcal pharyngitis
(bacterial-related allergies that may cause bronchitis, strep, asthma, and other symptoms) is practically extinct without milk protein. This is true because galactose (one of the milk sugars) is slow-absorbing, which allows a growth of bacteria in the intestinal tract. High amounts of protein without balancing factors, be it milk or any food protein, may cause premature development of some body parts, causing an unbalanced anatomy, one of the most serious being improper joint development. The bones grow too fast for the linking tendons, ligaments, and nerves, which remain stunted. I have a friend that grew too fast in early life. Today he is 6'6" tall, and must throw his foot forward in order to walk. The nerves in his leg never developed fully, so the tip of the foot is numb.
Fat is another of the great offenders in milk. To start with, the fat
globules are hard to digest as our liver is only one-sixth the size of a cows. Secondly, three fat acid molecules combine with one glycerin molecule to produce triglycerides, 95-96% of milk fat. High triglycerides are related to artery plaque, although that point is highly controversial between holistic and orthodox health practitioners. It is very much a fact, however, that by drinking one quart of milk, you are consuming one-third of your daily fat allowance. It is also a fact that 60% of milk fat is saturated fat. (This is what destroys the body, allowing cholesterol.) Don't forget that milk is in many, many foods; it does not have to be the milk liquid you drink or put on your cereal.
The milk producers are involved in politics enough to control their product's protection. A study in Finland found that people who were taken off whole milk products reduced the chance of death from coronary heart disease by one-half. Was anyone told? NO WAY! It was kept a secret, along with the thousands of other research papers proving milk to be harmful to health.
At this point, you are probably wondering if I have ever heard of pasteurization. After all, this process makes the milk pure, and ready for our bodies to do miracles with. While raw milk is harmful, it is still a live food. The pasteurizing process removes even its marginal value (the beneficial bacteria necessary for proper digestion). When raw milk goes bad, it separates and curdles. Pasteurized, homogenized milk just rots.
It first turns green, then black. Dr. Christopher wouldn't even see a patient unless they promised to get off milk completely. Milk makes mucus, and mucus is a storehouse of disease. I can see where the use of raw milk in emergencies may be needed, but as a daily lifestyle, it is very harmful.
Dr. William A. Ellis, a retired osteopathic physician and surgeon, attributes cholesterol, heart, and cardiovascular problems to milk. He says milk contains xanthine, an enzyme, which attacks the heart's arteries. Dr. Kurt Esselbacher of Harvard Medical School is in full agreement. "Because of its XO content, milk is one of the major causes of heart disease in the U.S." Dr Ellis continues, saying that people who drink milk cannot absorb their daily nutrients as well as the non-users. His 42 years of practice and 25,000+ blood tests have proven that to him. It neutralizes your hydrochloric acid, for starters, then irritates tissues, causing allergies like pollen, ragweed, sinus trouble, etc. The list, and the proof, goes on and on. The proof can't be any more drastic.
Now that milk has had a little scientific light shed on its deadly intentions, you are probably wondering where you are supposed to get your calcium. The dairy industry has scared everyone into thinking they need all this calcium. One quart of milk contains 1,200 mg of calcium, and the World Health Organization states we only need 400-500 mg daily. Actually, the amount of calcium you take in isn't nearly as important as how much you absorb. Phosphorus is an inhibitor of calcium absorption, and cows' milk has a phosphorus/calcium ratio of 6/1. The average Taiwanese gets 13mg of calcium daily from milk sources, yet they have less calcium related
diseases than we do. There are plenty of foods high in calcium, but green, leafy vegetables are the best source of calcium. Comfrey is perhaps the highest calcium herb. Barley greens, sesame seeds, kelp, and Irish moss are also high in calcium. We do not need the calcium that milk has to offer.

IF YOU WANNA LOOK LIKE A COW, BY ALL MEANS, DRINK YOUR MILK!!!!!
If you haven't heard enough to raise the hair on your hide, let's look at the way they process milk. In milking hundreds and thousands of cows, do you really think that things like the teats and udder are cleaned properly?
Even when cleaned, the stuff is washed with chlorinated water which is known to make a sticky, artery clogging paste when combined with milk fat. How many risks are we taking by ingesting this white, anemic-looking mammal excretion? If you think it is tested against foreign matter, you are wrong. Some of it is, but a large percent of it is said to escape testing procedures. The stuff that is tested is still found with traces of penicillin, but the FDA says a little won't hurt. I will leave that decision up to you, but personally, I am scared of it. The hormone progesterone is almost always found as it is secreted by pregnancy. Progesterone breaks down to androgen, which is a known factor in acne development.
These are the facts. This is not some health theory dreamed up by a natural "quack". Scientific proof stands behind the fact that diarrhea, cramps, gastrointestinal bleeding (especially in babies), iron deficiency anemia, skin rashes, eczema, attacks of nasal and ear infection, atherosclerosis, acne, bronchitis, ear infections, and other diseases including multiple sclerosis, leukemia, and rheumatoid arthritis are directly related to milk. I have personally found milk to be the cause of most sinus problems, as well as many allergic reactions. It is a mucus former, so why shouldn't it be related?
* A baby should nurse from his mother until the 5th and 6th teeth come in, usually at 20 or more months old. This means the gastric juices are flowing.
*90% of people are lactose intolerant.
*Afro-American people are born lactose intolerant.
*Milk is one of the two top allergens in the country, according to Dr. Bernard Jensen. *Breast fed children have a higher IQ than those fed cows' milk.
*Any baby fed cow's milk before six months is prone to diabetes later in life.
*Mother's milk is only 2.38% protein and drops to 1.2-1.6% by six months. (This is almost identical to the amount found in veggies.)
*In China, milk products are rare,.......so is OSTEOPOROSIS.
*When a baby has worms, all you have to do is sit him in a pail of warm milk and the worms will come out to the milk. If it is powerful enough to do that, I really think you should reconsider your milk intake.
*The radiation contamination level in milk has been raised several times to allow a batch of milk to pass through.
Worry not, there are soy, rice, and tofu substitutes for milk. It is not the end of the world. Millions of people who are lacto-vegetarians and people who are allergic to it live without it. It is all a matter of the mind. If you drink it because you love it so much, remember that any product that is addictive is probably folly.
WARNING: Milk may be hazardous to your health. Are you "TOUGH" enough to drink it?????
