Zoloft and Bruises
I have a client who is taking Zoloft for 'chronic depression'. As a result she is getting a lot of bruising. From reading other FAQ info it seems that B Complex and Omega 3 would be a good place to start. I was also considering recommending Super Supplement and Super Antioxidant. I know I need to test her, but I'm still learning how. I don't know much about Zoloft except that it is an SSRI, but haven't heard anything about it causing bruising. Any suggestions, as always, will be appreciated. I appreciate all your help. Thanks, Carole

I have a friend who used to be on Zoloft. He constantly told me that the anxiety and depression that he felt while on the medication and when he came off the medication was worse than when he wasn't on any medication. The Zoloft also contributed to weight gain for him. When he decided to come off the medication, he started taking 5-HTP and using St. John's Wort. He has also taken the "core" nutrition support from NSP - Omega 3, Super Supp., Thai-Go, etc. As far as bruising goes, he never had any bruising from Zoloft. Hope this helps! -Andres |
