Liver - Problems
60 year old white female, O+ blood, very jaundice, feels very tired, has a dry cough. She has been this way for about 2 months. Has a history of pain in the upper abdomen after eating greasy or heavy meals which we have thought was probably gall bladder related. She has not had this happen for several months before turning jaundice. Recently went to a doctor and got blood work done. The doctor said from the blood work that something was obstructing the liver from dumping bile so they did a cat scan and didn't see anything unusual. She did have some gallstones in the gallbladder and the doctor said there could be a gallstone in the duct preventing the liver from dumping. He now wants to do a scope down the throat but she does not want to do this until she tries something else first. Her blood work was: Albumin 3.2, Bilirubin 19.6, Alkaline Phosphatase 939., AST 249., ALT 206., Hematocrit 32.5, Monos 9.5, Creatinine, serum .6. This person does have dark urine and light colored bowel movements but has absolutely no pain. This is an urgent request for any help!!! Thanks very much. -Kaye

Hmmm, I think I would work on a really good bowel cleanse. Drink lots of fresh lemon water. You didn't give her weight. Perhaps she should sip her water (1/2 - 1 gallon per day) throughout the day.
To cleanse and build the liver, you must clean the bowel. What you do depends on you. My favorite is Dr Jack's Bowel Cleanse. Search for Cleanse - Dr Jack's.
IF this is too much for you (It REALLY does the job), you could consider CleanStart (a boxed program -- start slowly with a small portion of a packet), then switching to Psyllium and LBS-II, if necessary to have a good BM after each meal. The VERY least would be to use Senna or LBS-II and Psyllium. (#1 being Psyllium Hulls Combo, #2 Psyllium Seed to Start, #3 Psyllium Hulls Capsules.) The bulk is the best. Always start VERY slowly as I suggest in the PREFIX to Dr. Jack's Cleanse. After that, do a liver cleanse. Use Liver Cleanse Formula or Milk Thistle Combo -- starting with one per day, increasing by one each day up to 19 and then back down. Make sure you are using LBS-II and Psyllium while you are doing this. . . IF you do not, you may get nauseous.
While on the bowel cleansing phase, perhaps do Hydrangea to dissolve any possible stone. I would make sure she is taking Food Enzymes and especially Hi Lipase for fat. -Georgiana |
