Iron Low - 6mo Premie

My son just had his 6 mo checkup and his iron level is at 27/36. He was 7 weeks early and I that's why he has the low iron. He has been exclusively breast feed. I give him 1tsp liq chlorophyll a day & 1tsp colloidal minerals, but not sure what else we have for him?? I don't want to give him the ferrous sulfate the MD prescribed....he already has a fussy bowel. Would Yellow dock be a good tincture to make? On another note....the dermoid cyst he has is almost gone. Thank you Kim Balas. The Nature's Fresh with the plantain is working!:>)-Sylvia Montoya

Sylvia, Glad you are nursing. You need to get iron in YOU and baby will too - herbal iron, like Dr Christopher's formula I-X or eat beets or take Liver Cleanse Formula. Watch your diet too. If it is too acid, you will have trouble uptaking iron into your system. -Pat Block
