Herbs -Shelf Life
Anyone know what the shelf life of NSP herbs are?
Anybody know of a site dedicated to selling older overstocked herbs? Hubby is out of work and we could sure use the extra money about now. -Cindy

I've used some herbs WAY older than the indicated times and they've been fine. Then I used some Barley Grass Powder bulk that I had and it seemed to be less potency. I don't think they ever go BAD -- they just may lose potency. Vitamins lose potency faster it seems. AND, if they are kept cool or cold, they last forever it seems.
They were required by law to set expiration dates. I remember when I first went to home office (MANY moons ago) . . . this was before they even dated bottles. . . they had herb samples in the lab that they had since year 1 and they were fine.
We used to sell overstock on the "Marketplace" -- but many managers didn't like that being done. They felt it put us in competition with the company, so that practice was discontinued. At the time, some people suggested have a sale for your downline -- or even advertising in a local paper. You can often spread the word that you have overstock "word of mouth". You MAY sell discontinued products on the Marketplace. -Georgiana

My daughter has bought our products on e-bay several times. They are usually almost out of date. But she gets them for a great price. -Jeannette |
