Hayfever
I am suffering with hayfever right now. How can I recommend herbs to anyone, when I cant fix myself? Would homeopathy be the right thing for me? Mold is now the culprit. Do I take a minute amount of mold to raise my reaction threshold to this or a herb to help with the symptoms? I take ALJ all day and it does help keep my sinus open, but it doesn't help with my itchy swollen eyes. Homeopathy is "treat like with like", so would that mean take onion to ease the eye inflammation or take mold like a allergy clinic would give you small doses of what you are allergic to. -Leila North

Eyebright almost always helps with the itchy eyes. 2 at a time will usually help anyone.
If mold is an issue, I would work on cleansing the body of fungus. (ie, candida diet, program -- Search forum FAQ page) Definitely work on bowel cleansing, fiber. (can also see different cleanses on forum FAQ page). A good cleansing program + probiotic can help with respiratory allergies. -Georgiana

Q: My husband suffers from SEVERE hay fever. He takes double the recommended dose for ALJ, but it doesn't help that much. Looking for more advice. (We live south of Rochester NY and the pollen count is higher than ever.) -Cindy

I'm a New Yorker, too --- in the Finger Lakes! Try eating local honey to desensitize him, stock up on B vitamins, make sure his bowels as moving as many times a day as he is eating (Georgiana had good suggestions), and try HistaBlock in addition to the ALJ. Lots of clients here find that works even better than ALJ, but they usually take them together. -Sharon Grimes

The homeopathic, hayfever/pollen works FAST. I hadn't had any problems for a LONG time & when the ragweed started had problems w/ eyes itching, & of course the sneezing, & nose. I'd been eating lemon yogurt & was out one day & my problems stopped- SO, realized it was the yogurt that was causing the problem even though it's good, just not in ragweed season!!!!! -Dew |
