Gall Bladder VS Acid Reflux

A friend of mine is having symptoms of gall bladder problems. She felt as though she was having a heart attack but everything there checked ok. The doctors are calling it acid reflux. I have a feeling they will start her on all kinds of meds and when that doesn't work will recommend to remove the gall bladder. Any testimony or direction you may provide would be appreciated. -Donna Irby

I have had acid reflux most of my life and the only relief that I came upon to is Stomach Comfort. Is a temporary relief of heartburn. -Mechelle Eliot

If it's acid reflux she can do some things that will give her quick results that can help determine if it's that or not. Does she have a burning sensation in the throat or esophagus area? Aloe Vera Juice can soothe this. Proactazyme can be used to help digest the food. Anti-Gas Formula after each meal to prevent gas and bloating. If that's a problem MSM to help reduce the burning and pain. Stomach Comfort as temporary relief of heartburn. Papaya Mint may help also. Elimination of caffeine, citrus fruits, spicy foods, chocolate, tea, tomato based foods usually helps. If she is overweight that can aggravate reflux. Is she highly stressed? If so that should be dealt with also. As far as taking out her gallbladder, I'd think they would put her through more tests before they would do that and even if there was a concern via the tests that it was her gallbladder it's possible she could handle that via a gallbladder cleanse herbs, etc. Unless she was in an emergency situation she should have time to try alternative treatments first. Good luck. -Jane

I had acid reflux after I had my gall bladder removed. I started taking Food Enzymes and have never had another problem! Having the gall bladder removed probably won't help the acid reflux 'disease'. She'll still need to take it easy on the foods mentioned above, but the enzymes will really help. -Carole Rishel
