Fluid on Outside of Lung
My dad had lung cancer a little over 3 years ago and has been clear for the last 2 years. My question is this: The dr's have found fluid on the outside of his lung and I need some suggestions on what to give him to get rid of it. He has a very hard time swallowing pills/capsules and keeping them down so we usually open capsules and put it in his veggie juice, so we would prefer liquid if possible. -Gwen

Since it would be difficult to consume enough by opening capsules and putting the content in food and you may not get the quality if you use other brands that have more liquids -- another option would be to either open them and put them in an enema OR insert the capsules or tablets rectally.
IF he can swallow them, and the biggest issue is keeping them down, I would suggest he take them alternately with bites of food. One of my daughters has to eat with her supplements to keep them down. -Georgiana
