First Aid Kit
(See Medicine Cabinet - Natural)
Wanting to make a first aid kit. Any books or information that I could use to make this?? I also wanted to make a list of common childhood illnesses and wanted to get herbs for all of these- my daughter has lots of ear infections, colds, cough, etc. I wanted to make a list so when the time comes I know what exactly to do and have all the needed things. Thanks. -Missy

Larissa Jones book has many good suggestions with using essential oils. Of course golden salve, tea tree oil, activated charcoal(ingest poisons, bee stings, food poisonings) Children's Elderberry Plus is a great immune system builder for children. All of the Children's Herbasaurs Products are good for children. Fevers: Liquid LB extract a must if not having good bowel elemi nations. This can bring a fever down with a good elimination. Catnip tea for fevers or Raspberry tea. Louis Tenney's book Today's Herbal Health for Children is one I have in my library to help my grandchild. Hope this helps. Janice

Calcium lactate is very effective in reducing fever. It may cause it to spike initially before coming down. I smash one tablet and put it in apple sauce or juice for my two year old. -Rebecca Fowler |
