Cleanse - Small Intestine
Editor's Note: The following excerpt is taken from One Answer to Cancer by Dr. William D. Kelley.
Why Take. . . Marshmallow & Pepsin for Intestinal Cleansing
Q: In your book, you mentioned a product called Marshmallow & Pepsin. What does it do?
A: If I had only one supplement to give to everyone for cancer or otherwise, I would want them to have Marshmallow & Pepsin. It would probably do the nation's health more good then any other one pill. It digests the mucous that coat the walls of many people's small intestines. The mucous is caused by certain foods, such as pasteurized milk and many cooked foods. It coats the villi on the wall of the small intestine. The villi are like tiny fingers that stick out from the intestinal walls to absorb nutrients from the digested food, which is primarily liquid.
The mucous on the villa gets so thick and tough that it's almost like a plastic film. Almost no nutrition can get through to the body. The person could take $500 worth of supplements a month along with a good diet and still get almost no value from them. The person could be starving, so he would tend to keep eating more food, including protein, even though it could not be properly absorbed. If all the pancreatic enzymes were used up, trying to digest this mucous the blood to destroy cancer cells.
The Marshmallow root is a very sticky, gooey, vegetable material. It tends stick to the Pepsin to the mucous on the intestinal wall long enough to digest some of the mucous coating. If Marshmallow & Pepsin is taken, the mucous coating will gradually be digested. The blood then can receive more nutrients from the food, even if it is from a poor diet.
Q: Does the mucous block all nutrients from being absorbed?
A: It varies with different people. Sometimes it blocks minerals and large molecules, while in some people, it partially blocks all nutrients.
Q: Would this be a cause of overweight in people who eat more food to get more protein but who absorb only the smaller carbohydrate molecules while the larger protein molecules are blocked?
A: This is very true. We have found that almost every person who is very much overweight has a mucous problem. Marshmallow & Pepsin should be used to make sure they can absorb the nutrients from their food. They should take two capsules with each meal for a least three months. After that, it is a good idea to use Marshmallow & Pepsin periodically to keep the mucous from building up.
Please Note: Learn to look before you flush and you will most probably see the results of this program as the mucous begins to leave your body via the colon.
