Child - Thyroid

My friend's son (10 years old), was born without a thyroid. He has been on meds since very little, but is still very over-weight. His mom wanted me to check for a medicine called THYRAX (which I found out is another name for Synthroid). My husband was diagnosed with hyperthyroid and he took TS-II (among other things). His thyroid has been OK for about 2 years after taking the TS-II. Would TS-II work even if a thyroid is not present? Your help will be greatly appreciated. -I. Smith

I have had two naturopathic doctors and in Steven Horne's courses that says that once a thyroid gland is missing medications must be administered and there really isn't any herb(s) that can deal with this issue...however Colloidal Minerals and calcium/magnesium are a must as supplements because the person has issues retaining minerals. Also, a good multi-vitamin. Best wishes. -Lourdes Martinez
