Cat - Constipated
What can be done for a cat that has been from vet after vet for constipation. He has not pooped for 4 days. The vet says this is not life threatening. He is miserable! He has stopped drinking, eats little, and is lethargic. Over the past two years, he has been treated with meds, enemas, and special diets. He has been x-rayed inside and out and does not show any tumors, blockage, pockets, etc. He is actually getting worse Are there any herbal recommendations for him? How about LB Extract and UC-C? -Herbs4healthy

Certainly LBS II or LB extract. Then get some Fiber in him. -Leslie Lechner

Try some Flax Seed Oil also. It's probably a stuck hairball that blocks the intestines. -Georgiana Duncan)

What about Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice? -Peggy Day

I have a client with a cat who could not have bowel movements. She was actually taking her cat for colonics every other day and was on a medication from the vet that was obviously not working. I gave her LB Extract and Slippery Elm. One cap of Slippery Elm mixed with canned food and 3-4 drops of LB Extract. Worked like a charm. No more medications and no colonics. -Darlene Agle |
